Kilmore Quay is a small rural fishing village in the south-east corner of Ireland It is 22 km from Wexford town and just 19 km from the international ferry port at Rosslare.

One of the first features to strike anyone visiting the village for the first time is the number of thatched cottages lining the village street. Most of these cottages date back to the 18th and 19th centuries.
